I am The Bloviator. All fear the wrath of bloviation.
To bloviate means “to speak pompously and excessively,” or “to expound ridiculously.” A colloquial verb coined in the United States, it is commonly used with contempt to describe the behavior of politicians, academics, pundits or media “experts,” sometimes called bloviators, who hold forth on subjects in an arrogant, tiresome way. Officially, I am none of the above. I am no expert, no politician, nor am I an academic, pundit, or a media stooge. I am just an average guy with an above average susceptibility to a common affliction in the US – “Foot in Mouth Disease”.
The BloviBlog will serve as one of my primary outlets to vent frustration and to call attention to utter stupitidy in as near to real-time as I can type. Out of a compromise to keep my mouth shut (or rather, to trade random acts of verbal bloviation for the silent tap-tap-tap of the keyboard) the world as a whole can benefit from my knowledge and my (sometimes sick) sense of humor.
